Five kinds of group. One directory.
Not every group is therapy, and not every person needs therapy. Start with the kind that fits where you are.
- I.Browse
Therapeutic
Group therapy led by licensed therapists, psychologists, or clinical social workers. CBT, DBT, and process groups.
- II.Browse
Peer support
Members support each other through shared experience. Some are led by people with lived experience, some by clinicians. Both are valuable, and many listings say who leads the group.
- III.Browse
Psychoeducation
Structured programs that teach coping tools, explain diagnoses, and build emotional literacy.
- IV.Browse
Shared community
Book clubs, game nights, walking groups, new-parent circles. Not therapy, not treatment. People showing up for each other.
- V.Browse
Events and workshops
One-time and short-series gatherings: a grief workshop, a six-week class, a community talk.
Say it the way you’d say it.
Nobody searches for “interpersonal process group.” Start with the sentence that is true for you, and we’ll show you the groups and what to know before the first meeting.

Listings are written by the people who run the groups. The Group Guide is a directory, not a clinic, and does not vet, supervise, or endorse any group.
Finding a group shouldn’t take six browser tabs.
“I’d rather be in a group.” “I just want to talk to people who’ve been through it.”
I spent years as a case manager explaining the kinds of therapy that exist. Then someone would say one of those two sentences, and the hard part started. Finding an actual group, with a real meeting time and a real person to contact, could take weeks. Plenty of people gave up before they found one.
Therapy groups work. Peer support works. The problem isn’t the groups. It’s that no one can find them. Facebook pages go dark. Clinic websites still list a group that ended last spring. Word of mouth misses the people who don’t have the right words yet.
So I built this. One place for group support, whether you’re looking for yourself, or you’re a case manager, social worker, or family member looking for someone else. It’s a directory, not a clinic. Group leaders write their own listings. I don’t vet, supervise, or endorse them. I make them findable.
Community is where we grow.
Run a group?
Get found.
For clinicians, peer leaders, and community organizations. The first 100 founding facilitators, no more than 5 in any state, list one group free for as long as it stays up. Community organizations running free groups always list free.
32 of 100 founding seats are left, and the offer closes December 31.
