What a neurodivergent group is like
These groups are for autistic adults, people with ADHD, and others whose brains work differently. Some are run by autistic people for autistic people. Some are social skills classes led by a clinician. Some are for parents. The feel is very different, so ask which kind it is.
Good groups are clear about the rules: how long it runs, when you can talk, whether cameras need to be on. Many allow stimming, typing instead of speaking, and leaving the room. You do not need a diagnosis for most peer groups. Ask if you are not sure.
