Free CHADD ADHD Peer Support — Online & Nationwide

CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is the national nonprofit and resource center for ADHD, founded in 1987. CHADD operates 72 local chapters in 26 states, three moderated online communities, a national ADHD helpline, and an evidence-based information library — all available to anyone affected by ADHD.

Three Free Online Communities

CHADD hosts three moderated HealthUnlocked communities: Adult ADHD Support Community, ADHD Parents & Caregivers Community, and ADHD Women’s Community. Members can ask questions, share strategies, and connect with thousands of others living with ADHD — all moderated by trained CHADD staff and volunteers. Free, no registration fees, 24/7 access.

Virtual Support Groups for Adults

Most CHADD chapters offer virtual support groups in addition to in-person meetings, including specialty groups for newly-diagnosed adults, couples impacted by ADHD, gifted persons with ADHD, adults seeking jobs, young adults, and LGBTQ+ adults with ADHD. Find current virtual options at chadd.org/chapter-locator and join from anywhere in the US.

National Helpline

CHADD’s National Resource Center on ADHD operates a free helpline staffed by trained Health Information Specialists who can answer questions about ADHD, treatment options, accommodations, and finding local providers. Call 1-866-200-8098 Monday-Friday 1-5 PM ET.

Who This Is For

Adults with ADHD, parents/caregivers of children or teens with ADHD, partners of someone with ADHD, and women with ADHD. CHADD also offers resources for educators, employers, and clinicians.
