About This Group

TRU Community Care, the Lafayette-based nonprofit hospice, runs a drop-in group for bereaved parents facilitated through its professional Grief Services team. In TRU’s words, most of its groups are free of charge and open to the community.

What to Expect

In the group’s own words: no one understands the depth of losing a child like a fellow parent who has lived through it. The group focuses on peer-to-peer connection in a safe environment where parents openly support one another through shared understanding. Attend in person in Lafayette or virtually, whichever the evening allows.
