Support Group for Parents of Trans and Gender-Expansive Kids - Denver | TransParent
About This Group
TransParent is the national peer support organization for parents and caregivers of transgender and gender-expansive children of any age, from young kids to adult children. Its mission, in its own words, is to bring compassionate support to parents and caregivers navigating complex issues, and to build parent communities that strengthen families as confident caregivers and advocates.
What to Expect
The Denver chapter meets monthly for peer conversation with other parents who understand, whether you are in the early stages of your journey or deep in the midst. Beyond the local chapter, TransParent runs national virtual groups anyone in Colorado can join: a chapter meeting on the 2nd Monday (5:30 PM Mountain), a dedicated Father and Masculine Parent group, a Grandparents group, and a Caregivers of Non-binary Youth group, all reached through the intake form at transparentusa.org.
Who This Is For
Parents, caregivers, and grandparents of transgender and gender-expansive people of any age, at any stage of their family’s journey.
How to Join
The Denver chapter meets the last Tuesday of every month, 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Contact the chapter leader through the form at transparentusa.org/chapters-colorado to confirm meeting details and location. For more free options, see the Colorado support groups directory on The Group Guide.
