Free Tay-Sachs & Allied Diseases Family Support - National | NTSAD
About This Group
The National Tay-Sachs & Allied Diseases Association (NTSAD), founded in 1957, is one of the oldest patient advocacy organizations in the country. NTSAD supports individuals and families affected by Tay-Sachs, Canavan, GM1 gangliosidosis, and Sandhoff diseases, all rare genetic conditions affecting the nervous system.
Ways to Find Support
NTSAD’s Peer Support Group links more than 750 individuals and families around the world through a confidential network of parents, grandparents, extended family, affected adults, and caregivers. Support includes a national telephone support network for U.S. families, a lending library, newsletters, and a personalized Family Services Team that helps with navigating a diagnosis. Every year, the community gathers at NTSAD’s Annual Family Conference to reconnect and learn together.
Who This Is For
Individuals and families of any age affected directly or indirectly by Tay-Sachs, Canavan, GM1 gangliosidosis, or Sandhoff disease, anywhere in the U.S. including Colorado.
How to Join
Call NTSAD at 617-277-4463 to connect with the Family Services Team and be linked into the Peer Support Group network. For more free options, see the Colorado support groups directory on The Group Guide.
