Free Sarcoidosis Support Group - National Virtual | FSR
About This Group
The Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research (FSR) is a nonprofit founded in 2000 and dedicated to funding sarcoidosis research and improving care for patients. FSR describes sarcoidosis as a complex, often hard to diagnose disease that can involve multiple organs, and it runs a peer-led national support group for people living with it.
Ways to Find Support
FSR’s national virtual support group meets monthly, on the third Thursday from 5 to 6:15pm CST, and is led by two FSR Patient Volunteers who live with sarcoidosis themselves. The group is a space to talk through the emotional side of sarcoidosis: members listen, share, and offer encouragement to each other. FSR also runs FSR-GSCA Community Groups, localized programs tied to FSR member clinics in some states, and a one-on-one Patient Navigator Program for people who are newly diagnosed.
Who This Is For
Adults living with sarcoidosis anywhere in the U.S. People who are newly diagnosed are pointed toward the Patient Navigator Program for one-on-one peer support alongside the group.
