Free Myasthenia Gravis Support Group - Denver, CO | MGAC
About This Group
The Myasthenia Gravis Association of Colorado (MGAC) is a volunteer-run nonprofit that traces back to the original Colorado Chapter of the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation, founded in 1973. MGAC reorganized under its current name in 1987 and is affiliated with the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America. It has no paid staff; all officers and directors are volunteers.
Ways to Find Support
MGAC holds an in-person support group meeting on the second Saturday of most months, 1 to 3pm, at the Global Down Syndrome Foundation Education Center in Denver’s Cherry Creek neighborhood. Meetings mix informal social time with occasional guest speakers, including physicians and patient advocates covering new MG treatments and day to day topics like nutrition. The group also runs an annual Denver MG Walk and a Community Health Fair.
Who This Is For
People living with myasthenia gravis and their loved ones, anywhere in Colorado. Both MGAC members and non-members are welcome at meetings.
How to Join
Just show up to the second Saturday meeting, or contact Dave Gestner at 4mgacolorado@gmail.com to RSVP or ask questions first. For more free options, see the Colorado support groups directory on The Group Guide.
