Free Adult ADHD Peer Support — Atlanta, GA | NW Atlanta ADD

The Northwest Atlanta Adult ADD Support Group has been meeting for years to give adults affected by ADHD, ADD, Tourette Syndrome, and OCD a free, consistent space to connect. What started as an in-person Atlanta gathering now meets entirely on Zoom, which has made it easier for people across the metro area — and beyond — to attend regularly.

What to Expect
The group meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Sessions are run by longtime facilitators Dan Pruitt and Darin Bush, who bring a casual, peer-driven tone rather than a clinical one. Because the group has met consistently for years, there’s an established rhythm and a returning core of members, which can make it easier for newcomers to settle in and start talking rather than feeling like they’re starting from zero.

Who This Group Is For
This is an adults-only group — as the group’s own site puts it, “if you have to ask if you are an adult or not, you are not.” It’s built primarily around ADD/ADHD, but Tourette Syndrome and OCD are explicitly welcomed too, since these conditions frequently overlap and members often find they have more in common across diagnoses than they expected.

Why Peer Support Works
Adult ADHD can be a strange combination of long-familiar and freshly-diagnosed — many adults spent years attributing their struggles to character flaws before understanding the underlying condition. A room (or Zoom call) full of other adults who’ve lived that same confusion tends to normalize the experience quickly, and practical tips exchanged peer-to-peer — the systems that actually work day to day — often land differently than advice from someone without lived experience.

How to Join
The group is free. Because it now meets exclusively on Zoom, you’ll need to sign up for the group’s email newsletter to receive the meeting link — the Zoom link is only sent that way. You can sign up directly on adultaddsupport.org.
