About This Group

The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) of New Jersey provides peer-led support groups for individuals living with depression, bipolar disorder, and related mood conditions. With chapters across the state including Bergen County, Morristown, Sussex County, Middlesex County, Union County, and Somerset County, DBSA NJ offers a welcoming community where people can share experiences, learn from each other, and find hope in their recovery journey.

What to Expect

DBSA support groups are facilitated by peers who live with mood disorders themselves, creating an atmosphere of genuine understanding and mutual support. Meetings typically last 90 minutes and include sharing time, coping skill discussions, and wellness education. The groups are structured to be supportive and empowering — not therapy sessions, but complementary peer support. Online meetings are also available for those who prefer virtual participation.

About DBSA

The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance is the leading peer-directed national organization focusing on the two most prevalent mental health conditions — depression and bipolar disorder. DBSA provides hope, help, support, and education to improve the lives of people who have mood disorders.
