Circle of Parents in Recovery
About This Group
Circle of Parents in Recovery is a free, peer-led support group for parents who are navigating both substance use disorder recovery and the daily challenges of parenting. This group recognizes that recovery and parenting are two of the hardest things a person can do — and doing both at the same time takes extraordinary strength. In a nonjudgmental, confidential setting, parents share their experiences, learn from one another, and build a supportive community of peers who understand their journey.
What to Expect
Each meeting is guided by a trained facilitator and a parent leader who create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Sessions focus on open discussion about the challenges and successes of parenting while in recovery. Many meetings include a shared meal and childcare with mindfulness activities for children, so parents can participate without worrying about child supervision. Parent handouts are often provided to support learning at home.
