Free Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency Support - Colorado | A1F
About This Group
The Alpha-1 Foundation was founded in 1995 by three people diagnosed with Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, a genetic condition that can cause lung and liver disease. The Foundation’s Support Group Network includes about 80 affiliated groups across the country, both virtual and in-person, along with specialty groups like the Parents of Alpha-1 Kids Virtual Support Group.
Ways to Find Support
A standing in-person Colorado group meets regularly at a Panera Bread location in Parker, Colorado, part of the Foundation’s nationwide network of local support groups. Alphas and caregivers can also join virtual groups, the Peer Guide Program that links newly diagnosed families with experienced ones, and the annual A1F National Conference, which offers a dedicated track and activities for Alpha-1 kids and their families.
Who This Is For
People with Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency and their caregivers, anywhere in Colorado.
