Free Wilson Disease Support Group - National | WDA
About This Group
The Wilson Disease Association (WDA) has supported people affected by Wilson disease for more than 40 years. Wilson disease is a rare genetic condition that causes copper to build up in the liver, brain, and other organs, and it requires lifelong management.
Ways to Find Support
WDA runs quarterly peer-led virtual support meetings over Zoom, facilitated by Carly Albinder, LCSW, OSW-C, a Wilson disease patient and WDA member with nine years of social work experience. Meetings are conducted in English, and speakers of other languages are welcome to listen in and use translation services. WDA also connects patients and caregivers through the Wilson Disease Association Support Community on Inspire and hosts an annual conference bringing together patients, caregivers, and medical professionals.
Who This Is For
People with Wilson disease and their caregivers, anywhere in the U.S. including Colorado.
How to Join
Register in advance for the next quarterly meeting through WDA’s website, or call 866-961-0533 with questions. For more free options, see the Colorado support groups directory on The Group Guide.
