Free Trisomy 18 & 13 Family Support - National | SOFT
About This Group
SOFT, the Support Organization for Trisomy 18, 13, and Related Disorders, has supported families since 1979. Trisomy 18 is also known as Edwards syndrome and trisomy 13 as Patau syndrome; both are chromosomal conditions that can be diagnosed prenatally or at birth. SOFT supports families through pregnancy, a child’s life, and after loss, and holds its 2026 annual conference in Loveland, Colorado.
Ways to Find Support
SOFT’s Peer-to-Peer Support Network connects families and parents navigating a trisomy 18 or 13 diagnosis with others who understand the journey, to share experiences, ask questions, and receive encouragement. Families can also connect through SOFT’s Facebook group and social media, and SOFT has state representatives who can help connect you with people in your area. The organization’s annual multi-day conference brings families together with medical professionals and researchers.
Who This Is For
Parents and families anywhere in the U.S., including Colorado, who are expecting, raising, or grieving a child with trisomy 18, trisomy 13, or a related chromosomal disorder.
