Free Transverse Myelitis & Rare Neuroimmune Support - National | SRNA

About This Group

The Siegel Rare Neuroimmune Association (SRNA) started in 1994 as the Transverse Myelitis Association, after founder Sandy Siegel’s wife Pauline was diagnosed with transverse myelitis. It has since grown into an international nonprofit supporting people with a wider spectrum of rare neuroimmune disorders: transverse myelitis (TM), neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD), MOG antibody disease (MOGAD), acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM), acute flaccid myelitis (AFM), and optic neuritis (ON).

Ways to Find Support

SRNA runs a national Support Group Network of local, volunteer-led groups, and for anyone without one nearby, it also hosts Online Support Group Meetings so people can connect regardless of where they live. Beyond groups, SRNA offers one-to-one peer matching through its Community program and a Quality of Life Family Camp each year. If no group exists in your area, SRNA will help you connect with a volunteer to start one.

Who This Is For

Children, adolescents, and adults living with a rare neuroimmune disorder such as transverse myelitis, NMOSD, MOGAD, ADEM, AFM, or optic neuritis, along with their family members and caregivers.

How to Join

Call 855-380-3330 or use SRNA’s online group finder to locate a local support group leader near you, or join an Online Support Group Meeting if nothing is close by. For more free options, see the Colorado support groups directory on The Group Guide.
