The Compassionate Friends – Missouri Chapters (Grief Support)
About This Group
The Compassionate Friends (TCF) provides peer-to-peer grief support for bereaved parents, siblings, and grandparents who have experienced the death of a child at any age. TCF has multiple chapters throughout Missouri, including in St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, and other communities. Meetings offer a safe, confidential environment where grieving families can share their experiences, find understanding, and begin the journey toward healing with others who have experienced similar loss.
What to Expect
TCF meetings are facilitated by bereaved parents or siblings who have walked the same path. Meetings typically last 90 minutes to 2 hours and may include sharing circles, guest speakers, remembrance activities, and small group discussions. Attendees are never pressured to speak and may simply listen. TCF also offers online resources including a private Facebook community, live online chats, customized bereavement material packets, and a quarterly magazine. New members are welcome at any meeting.
