Free Osteogenesis Imperfecta Support - National | OIF

About This Group

The Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation (OIF) began in 1970 when a small group of parents from around the country met in Chicago to talk about OI, also known as brittle bone disease, and its challenges. Today many of the people on OIF’s board have OI themselves or are parents of children with OI. Osteogenesis imperfecta is a genetic condition that causes bones to break easily, often for no apparent reason.

Ways to Find Support

OIF’s Support Group Program connects people through regional and virtual groups, giving members a space for sharing, educating, and socializing with others who understand OI. OIF also facilitates state-based contacts and holds regular virtual meetings so people can connect no matter where they live, along with in-person OIF Conferences that combine education with social connection for families and individuals living with OI.

Who This Is For

People with osteogenesis imperfecta and their families, anywhere in the U.S. including Colorado.
