About This Group

MSFriends is a free one-on-one peer support program from the National MS Society. It pairs people affected by MS with a trained volunteer who has a personal connection to MS and can say, “I’ve been there too.” Conversations are confidential and happen on your schedule.

What to Expect

After you apply, the Society matches you with an MSFriend based on the topics you want to talk about and introduces you by email. You and your MSFriend decide how often to connect and whether to use phone, email, or video. Connections last up to six months, or less if you get what you need sooner. Common topics include family and social dynamics, symptom management, changes to everyday life, and adapting to a new normal.
