Free Klinefelter Syndrome (XXY) Support - National | AXYS

About This Group

AXYS, the Association for X and Y Chromosome Variations, is the nation’s oldest and largest nonprofit serving people with an uncommon number of X and/or Y chromosomes, including 47,XXY (Klinefelter syndrome), trisomy X, 47,XYY, mosaicism, and related conditions. AXYS was founded in 1989 after the mother of a child with Klinefelter syndrome wrote to advice columnist Ann Landers seeking to start a support group. Children’s Hospital Colorado’s eXtraordinarY Kids Program points families to AXYS as its recommended national support organization.

Ways to Find Support

AXYS runs a toll-free helpline staffed by trained volunteers who match callers with a peer for support, education, and resources. It also facilitates local and regional support groups, both in person and online, run by volunteers who often bring in speakers on topics that matter to the X&Y community.

Who This Is For

Individuals and families affected by Klinefelter syndrome or another X or Y chromosome variation, anywhere in the U.S. including Colorado.

How to Join

Call the AXYS helpline at 267-338-4262 or email helpline@genetic.org to be matched with a peer or connected to a support group near you. For more free options, see the Colorado support groups directory on The Group Guide.
