Hearing Loss Support and Community - Denver | HLAA Denver Chapter

About This Group

The Denver Chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) is part of the nation’s leading organization for people with hearing loss. Meetings are open to the public and free to attend, and all are welcome whether you have hearing loss or none at all.

What to Expect

Monthly chapter meetings combine a speaker on a hearing-loss topic with time to connect with others who live the same communication challenges. Every meeting is fully accessible with CART live captioning and a hearing loop. No RSVP is needed, just come. The chapter also runs HOPE (Hearing Other People’s Experiences), a virtual support group on Zoom the 4th Wednesday of each month, 5:00 to 6:00 PM, and social meetups including open-caption movie outings.

Who This Is For

Adults with hearing loss at any stage, from newly diagnosed to lifelong, plus family members and communication partners. HLAA Colorado also has chapters in Boulder, Colorado Springs, and Grand Junction, listed at hearinglosscolorado.org.

How to Join

Meets the 3rd Saturday of the month, September through June, 1:00 to 2:30 PM in the Forum Theater at Koelbel Library, 5955 S Holly St, Centennial. Email hladenver@gmail.com with questions, or just show up. Meetings and social outings are free to attend; if you would like to support the chapter’s work, annual membership is $20 for individuals and $30 for couples, always encouraged and never required. For more options, see the Colorado support groups directory on The Group Guide.
