Free GBS, CIDP & Miller Fisher Support - National | GBS|CIDP Fdn
About This Group
The GBS|CIDP Foundation International is a nonprofit founded in 1980 by Estelle and Robert Benson, after Robert was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS). It now supports people affected by GBS, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), multifocal motor neuropathy (MMN), and related variants, including rarer ones like Miller Fisher syndrome, worldwide.
Ways to Find Support
The Foundation runs local Chapter Meetings in rotating cities, held in person or virtually, plus a monthly Community Connections program that mixes supportive Zoom coffee chats with Speaker Series webinars. Anyone can also join the Foundation’s online Community Forum to connect with other patients and care partners. Chapter meeting locations change month to month, so check the Foundation’s calendar for what is currently running near you.
Who This Is For
Patients, family members, and care partners affected by GBS, CIDP, MMN, or a related variant such as Miller Fisher syndrome. The Foundation’s International Allied Support Groups page also names Miller Fisher specifically among the conditions it points people toward resources for.
How to Join
Call 866-224-3301 or find a current chapter meeting at gbs-cidp.org, then join the Community Forum online. For more free options, see the Colorado support groups directory on The Group Guide.
