Free Suicide Loss Support Group in Grand Junction | Heartbeat GJ
About This Group
Heartbeat Grand Junction is an all-volunteer, peer-led group for survivors of suicide loss. Every facilitator is a loss survivor. The group exists to help survivors absorb the impact of the death, offer the comfort of real understanding, and support each other toward a healthy resolution of grief. Heartbeat is non-religious, all inclusive, and funded entirely by private donations.
What to Expect
A monthly evening meeting with a topic, discussion, and sometimes an activity. No one is required to talk, and just listening is welcome. Heartbeat also hosts an informal coffee gathering on the second Saturday of each month, 1:30 to 3:30 pm at Four Winds Coffee, 1235 Bookcliff Ave, where you can come for any length of time and be with other survivors without having to put on a happy face.
Who This Is For
Anyone who has lost a loved one or a friend to suicide, at any point in their grief. If you are in crisis or just need someone to talk to, you can call or text 988 any time.
How to Join
Just show up. Regular meetings are the third Tuesday of each month, 7 to 8:30 pm, at First Congregational Church, 1425 N 5th St in Grand Junction, using the west door off the back parking lot. Questions can go to gjheartbeat@gmail.com.
