Free Postpartum Peer Support — Palm Beach, FL | HMHB
Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Palm Beach County runs a suite of free emotional-wellness peer support groups for new and expecting parents, anchored by its signature Circle of Moms. As the first program of its kind in Palm Beach County, these groups are designed for the one in five parents who experience depression, anxiety, or other mood changes before, during, or after pregnancy.
What to Expect
Groups are warm, confidential, and judgment-free. Depending on the group you choose — Circle of Moms, Getting Ready for Baby, Postpartum Wellness, Mothers & Babies, or Couples Becoming Parents — you might talk through the emotional adjustment of new parenthood, practice bonding and stress-management strategies, or simply share how the week has gone with people who understand. Sessions run in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole, and support partners are welcome at most groups.
Who This Group Is For
This program is for pregnant people and new parents in Palm Beach County who feel overwhelmed, isolated, or unlike themselves, as well as partners who want to support them. Whether you are managing the baby blues or something heavier, you are welcome exactly as you are.
Why Peer Support Works
Perinatal mood changes thrive in isolation. Sitting with other parents who are navigating the same sleepless, tender season normalizes what you are feeling, reduces shame, and reminds you that struggling does not make you a bad parent. Peer connection is one of the most protective factors for maternal mental health.
