SunServe — Free LGBTQ+ Peer Counseling & Support Groups — South Florida
SunServe is South Florida’s largest LGBTQ+ mental health and social services agency, serving Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties since 2003. SunServe combines free peer support groups for the LGBTQ+ community with sliding-scale clinical counseling, HIV/AIDS services, youth programming, senior services, and prevention groups — all delivered by LGBTQ+-affirming staff and peer leaders.
What to Expect
SunServe runs free peer support groups for LGBTQ+ community members organized by identity and life experience — trans support groups, bi+ community groups, queer BIPOC peer space, LGBTQ+ youth and young adult groups, LGBTQ+ elder programming, gay men’s groups, and groups for LGBTQ+ folks navigating substance use, HIV, family of origin, and relationships. Groups meet at SunServe’s Fort Lauderdale and Miami Beach locations and online. The peer support work runs alongside SunServe’s sliding-scale individual and couples counseling, HIV/AIDS services, and prevention programming for South Florida’s LGBTQ+ community.
Who This Group Is For
SunServe serves LGBTQ+ community members across South Florida — lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual folks of all ages. Members come from Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties; in-person programming is in Fort Lauderdale and Miami Beach, with virtual options extending reach across the region. Specific groups serve trans and nonbinary community, LGBTQ+ youth, LGBTQ+ elders, queer BIPOC, gay men, bi+ folks, and others.
