Free Kids and Teen Grief Support in Grand Junction | HopeWest Kids
About This Group
HopeWest Kids is the children’s grief program of HopeWest, the nonprofit hospice and grief care organization serving Western Colorado. It helps children and teens explore, understand, and express their grief after the death of someone they love. Support groups are free of charge. Age-specific camps and the Healing with Horses program carry a small fee, and HopeWest never turns a family away over cost.
What to Expect
Age-grouped support where kids and teens meet others who have also lost someone, with activities and conversation guided by trained grief staff. Individual counseling is also available on a sliding scale.
Who This Is For
Children and teens in grades K through 12 in Mesa, Delta, Montrose, Ouray, and Rio Blanco counties, and the adults caring for them. Loss does not need to have involved hospice care.
