Groups give survivors a free opportunity to share their experiences, identify common feelings, and gain the support of one another in a safe, confidential setting. Services are inclusive and accessible, designed to honor the unique needs, identities, and experiences of each survivor. Alongside groups, survivors can access supportive counseling, advocacy, and a 24-hour hotline.
Who This Group Is For
Groups are open to survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking in the Macomb County area, with separate offerings for adults, teens, children, and families. Survivors of all identities and backgrounds are welcome, wherever they are in their journey.
Why Peer Support Works
Abuse thrives in isolation and secrecy. Coming together with other survivors dismantles that isolation, normalizes the difficult emotions that follow trauma, and builds a network of encouragement. Group support helps survivors recognize their own resilience and take practical steps toward safety and stability.
