Free Dementia Caregiver Support Group — Hana, Maui | Maui Adult Day Care Centers
For caregivers on the remote east side of Maui, finding a support group close to home — let alone one that also looks after your loved one while you attend — can feel like a long shot. The Hana Caregiver Support Group, run by the Maui Adult Day Care Centers (MADCC) and the Maui County Office on Aging, closes that gap with a free monthly meeting built specifically for Hana’s caregiving community.
What to Expect
The group meets on the third Thursday of every month at Hale Hulu Mamo, the Hana Senior Center, from 10:00 a.m. to noon. It’s part of a broader network of Caregiver Support Groups that MADCC and the County Office on Aging run across Maui, all designed as welcoming, low-barrier spaces to connect, share, and find encouragement. No reservations are needed to attend, and the group encourages members to bring a personal snack and something to drink.

This group is for family caregivers supporting an adult loved one, whether that caregiving involves dementia, another chronic condition, or general aging-related needs.
