Free Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Family Support - Colorado | PPMD

About This Group

Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD) is the largest Duchenne-specific patient advocacy organization in the country. Its Connect program is the official family outreach arm, led by volunteer parents and grandparents, and it runs regional groups in more than 25 states, including Colorado.

Ways to Find Support

Colorado Duchenne families connect through a private Facebook group run under PPMD’s Connect program. The group serves as a local point of contact for family mentoring, help navigating a Duchenne or Becker diagnosis, and ways to connect with other families both in person and online. PPMD also runs Sibs Connect for siblings ages 16 and up, a Newly Diagnosed Program with waived registration for its annual conference, and online support groups through the wider PPMD community.

Who This Is For

Families in Colorado affected by Duchenne or Becker muscular dystrophy, including parents, caregivers, and siblings.

How to Join

Request to join the Colorado group on Facebook, or contact PPMD’s Connect program directly at connect@parentprojectmd.org or 800-714-5437 to be connected with a coordinator. For more free options, see the Colorado support groups directory on The Group Guide.
