Community Grief Support - FAIRHOPE Hospice - Free, Lancaster OH

FAIRHOPE Hospice and Palliative Care in Lancaster, Ohio holds a conviction worth repeating: grief support belongs to the whole community. FAIRHOPE provides free grief support to anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one — and your loved one did not need to be a FAIRHOPE hospice patient to receive it.

What to Expect

Community grief support services are available at individual, family, and support group levels, serving children, teens, adults, and families. Services are provided on FAIRHOPE’s campus at the Anita M. Turner Center in Lancaster and at the Logan office, with a current support group schedule downloadable from the grief support page. Offerings include dedicated adult grief support, child, teen and family support, and seasonal resources such as grief-and-the-holidays guidance.

Who This Group Is For

Anyone in the Fairfield and Hocking County, Ohio communities grieving a death — adults, children, teens, and whole families. No hospice connection, referral, or payment is required.

Why Peer Support Works

As FAIRHOPE’s own materials put it, grief is the last act of love we have to give — and where there is deep grief, there was great love. Working through that grief alongside others honors it. Group support normalizes the long arc of mourning, individual sessions give private losses room to breathe, and family-level support helps households grieve together rather than in separate rooms.
