About BPD & Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Groups
Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is often misunderstood but highly treatable. DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) is the gold-standard treatment for BPD and is most effectively delivered in a group format. Support groups also provide community for people who identify with BPD traits or are working on emotional regulation.
Types of Groups Available
Groups include DBT skills training groups (the core component of full DBT treatment), BPD peer support communities, and general emotional regulation and distress tolerance groups. DBT skills groups typically cover four modules: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
